QRCode for Confluence — User Guide
Overview
QRCode for Confluence lets you embed QR codes directly into Confluence pages and blog posts. Generate a QR code from any text or URL and display it inline on your page.
Getting Started
Inserting a QR Code
- Edit a Confluence page
- Type
/qrcodein the editor and select QRCode for Confluence - Enter the text or URL you want to encode
- Choose a size
- Click Save to insert the QR code
Re-editing
Click on an existing QR code macro and select Edit to change the content or size. Your settings are preserved.
Configuration Options
Text / URL
Enter any text or URL to encode into the QR code. This can be a website URL, plain text, email address, phone number, or any string.
Size
| Size | Description |
|---|---|
| X-Small | Compact QR code for tight layouts |
| Small | Small QR code |
| Medium | Standard size |
| Large | Large QR code (default) |
| X-Large | Extra-large QR code for maximum readability |
Tips
- Use the Large or X-Large size for QR codes that will be scanned from a distance (e.g., printed pages, posters)
- Encode URLs with the full
https://prefix for best scanning results - Keep the encoded text short — shorter content produces cleaner, easier-to-scan QR codes
