# Google Fonts for Confluence — User Guide

Google Fonts for Confluence lets you display text using any of the 1942+ Google Fonts directly on your Confluence pages. Customize font family, variant, size, color, and alignment with a live preview.

## Getting Started[​](#getting-started "Direct link to Getting Started")

### Inserting Google Fonts Text[​](#inserting-google-fonts-text "Direct link to Inserting Google Fonts Text")

1. Edit a Confluence page
2. Type `/google fonts` in the editor and select **Google Fonts for Confluence**
3. The configuration panel opens with font options and a live preview
4. Choose your font, style, and text
5. Click **Save** to insert the styled text

### Re-editing[​](#re-editing "Direct link to Re-editing")

Click on an existing Google Fonts macro and select **Edit** to reopen the configuration panel. All your settings are preserved.

### Font Family[​](#font-family "Direct link to Font Family")

Search and select from 1942+ Google Fonts. Use the search dropdown to quickly find your preferred font.

### Font Variant[​](#font-variant "Direct link to Font Variant")

Choose from available variants for the selected font:

| Variant         | Description       |
| --------------- | ----------------- |
| **Regular**     | Default weight    |
| **Italic**      | Italic style      |
| **Bold**        | Bold weight       |
| **Bold Italic** | Bold italic style |

Available variants depend on the selected font family.

Enter any font size in pixels using the numeric input field. There is no enforced limit — common ranges:

| Usage          | Recommended Size |
| -------------- | ---------------- |
| Body text      | 14–18px          |
| Headings       | 24–48px          |
| Display / Hero | 60–120px         |

Pick a text color using the built-in color picker. Choose from quick-select swatches for common colors, or switch to the palette to fine-tune the exact shade and edit RGB values directly.

| Option     | Alignment               |
| ---------- | ----------------------- |
| **Left**   | Align text to the left  |
| **Center** | Center the text         |
| **Right**  | Align text to the right |

Type your content in the preview area to see how it looks with the selected font and settings in real-time.

The macro automatically adapts to Confluence's dark/light theme for comfortable reading in both modes.

* Preview your text at different sizes before saving
* Use bold or italic variants for emphasis within your content
